Madeline Black

Psychologist

BAPsychSC, GDipPsychSci, MProfPsych

Hi I’m Madeline, founder of Sonder Peninsula Psychology.

I take a compassionate and down-to-earth approach to therapy, grounded in evidence-based practice. My work is shaped by years of supporting people across all stages of life, cultural backgrounds, and creating an LGBTQIA+ friendly space. I value offering practical, thoughtful and collaborative care that meets people where they’re at.

My background ranges various settings including schools, aged care, in-home family therapy, neurodivergent settings and forensic mental health supporting young people involved with the justice system.

Whilst youth mental health and family functioning remain passions of mine. I am currently broadening my focus and welcoming clients across the lifespan whom may be experiencing the following:

  • Depression and anxiety

  • Stress

  • Adjustment and life transitions

  • Challenges in personal relationships

  • Disruptive or maladaptive behaviours at school, home or in community

  • Parenting difficulties

  • Grief and loss
