Our approach to therapy sessions

In therapy sessions we work with people from all walks of life, recognizing that each of us is a unique part of something much bigger. Our identities, relationships, struggles, and opportunities are all shaped by the systems and environments we move through. Together, we explore how these layers connect and impact how we see ourselves and the world around us.

The goal is to create a choice:

Do we want to keep repeating the same patterns? Or are we ready to learn how to create new ones?

We take a trauma-informed approach, which means our first priority is building a safe, respectful space where we can work together. Here we’ll make room for your goals, your story, and the changes you want to see. Whether it’s about personal growth or improving relationships, or both, we’ll move forward in a way that feels sustainable, grounded, and true to you.

We draw on a variety of interventions tailored for individual clients including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

  • Acceptance Committment Therapy

  • Mindfulness-based CBT

  • Schema Therapy

  • Family Systems Therapy

  • Multisystemic Therapy

  • Somatic Therapy

Please note our principle psychologist, Madeline Black is on leave until September 2025.
